Ucsd students demonstrate against a comference celebrating 20 years of nafta called “Mexico moving forward: 20 years of nafta and beyond”. This conference features capitalists, politicians, and academics who have made millions off of the exploitation of the poor as a result of free trade agreements and land privatization. Speakers included Janet napolitano, Luis tellez, and Jesus vizcarra.
The students marched in solidarity the zapatistas, showing the 20 years of indigenous struggle, before occupying the institute of the Americas building and the center for Iberian and Latin American studies, a school at Ucsd that receives funding from the CIA and has produced studies used to legitimize neoliberal policies.
¡Todo el poder al pueblo!
The Japanese say you have three faces.
The first face, you show to the world. The second face, you show to your close friends, and your family.
The third face, you never show anyone. It is the truest reflection of who you are.
I’m pretty sure that’s Brad Pitt’s reaction every time he take a selfie/looks in the mirror
"mm not bad"
I want my freedom!
But are you willing to pay the price your freedom will cost?
I seriously never realized their parallelism and that these 3 ALL suffered the consequence of their freedom….that’s crazy.
Rapunzel lost her love, Eugene.
Merida lost her mother, Eleanor.
Elsa lost her sister, Anna.
All over their desire for freedom.
